are yoga blogs useful? let's check out
hi friends welcome back to my channel if   you're new here my name is idan i'm yoga teacher
who love to share this practice with the world   and in this video we're gonna check if yoga blocks
are useful or not the short answer is yes the long   one keep watching the video so yoga blocks well
i love yoga blocks and you should have a pair two   with you no matter if you're a complete beginner
or just like me practice yoga for over 15 years   and basically what yoga blocks does
is bringing the floor up towards us   help us to mind the gap between where we are
where our body and where we want to be so for   example one yoga pose that you're gonna encounter
in almost every other class is the triangle pose   now as a beginner i couldn't reach with my hand to
the ground without collapsing totally collapsing   to the ground because lack of flexibility in the
legs the back and in this case blocks really helps   because you can place the hand on top of the
odd of the block and stay in a good position   during the hour class without collapsing
compensating and just going out of alignment   so blocks really really helps to bring the floor
up towards us so this is one way we use blocks   another way is when we work on our flexibility so
for example one of the exercises i really love is   just half split just moving into half split
and i still working on my flexibility even   after 15 years but new ones new people
to yoga can't stretch and really collapse   and really struggling in such position where if
you're gonna have yoga blocks with you you can   work on your flexibility easily without suffering
and just focus on what's really important   and it's stretching the legs and not just
breaking your back your back along the way another   way we use blocks is when our hips are tight
and really closed up for example in pigeon pose when we need to reach with the hips down
to the ground now you can see the gap in   here because my hips are not that flexible just
yet so you can take a yoga block to support you   or even two if you need just to support you and
keep you high in here so this is a great way   to practice so as you can see yoga blocks are
super super useful and you can also sit on top   of them if you need to sit with your back erect
in cross-legged position well without blocks it   can be challenging it fails then you're gonna
keep collapsing but when you elevate the hips   of the mat using a block you can sit up tall and
sit for meditation or whatever you need to do   even stretching your leg forward and improving
your flexibility yoga blocks really helps so yes yoga blocks are super useful if
you don't have a pair yet go grab a pair   buy a pair you can buy cheap ones just like
this for about a dollar each online or you can   go higher and buy really solid one made out
of coke for a higher prices really up to you   you can start with those super simple
and buy something more fancy later on   so i hope you enjoyed this video and you
learned something new and if you're new to   this channel make sure to and hit
the bell so you won't miss a thing i release   new videos and three other classes every week
on my channel so make sure you don't miss them   now if you want to improve your flexibility
work on your flexibility make sure to grab my   flexibility cheat sheet in the link up in here or
below this video it's a completely free you can   grab it and start working on your flexibility with
or without your blogs so i gonna see you on the   next video and until then always remember to do
yoga because it just makes life better see you bye you
